About Trish

With extensive international cheffing experience and as a passionate foodie, Trish brings her experience of years of catering, cooking and hospitality to enhance the enjoyment of your week in Provence holiday.

Until recently Trish was a local resident in Seillans, a “Village Fleurie”, where our art tours are based. She has worked in France for 25 years both in the Alps and Provence, and extensively in Hong Kong and England. While preferring an authentic approach to world cuisines and in particular French, there are international influences in her menus.

Recently Trish qualified as an interior designer, but keeps her hand firmly in the kitchen, and is committed to her first love - food!

About Cally

Cally Lotz is a professional artist who has led 8 art tours to the South of France, 2 to Shropshire, and 1 to Palermo. Cally holds an MFA and has exhibited internationally, with works held in both public and private collections. View Cally's work here.

Painting in Provence with Cally will be a shared experience of skills, support, and energy. A small group of like-minded people will be guided to explore various aspects of art-making while enjoying stimulating conversation and, above all, having fun.

Our Reviews

I have been to three of Cally's painting courses and have found her lessons in oil painting very helpful in the way she explains how to compose a painting and how to apply the paint. They have also been great fun in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Week in Provence Art Tour was incredible. Not only was the location stunning, the food and hospitality provided by Trish was outstanding - delicious home cooked meals - beautifully presented using seasonal fresh vegetables sourced from local markets, spotless comfortable accommodation and nothing was too much trouble. The art tours themselves ran seamlessly to a wide variety of museums showing off an extensive array of impressionist art and historical artefacts. Of course followed up by lunch in a local restaurant that provided excellent value. A truly memorable week - I'd love to do it again!

Painting with Cally Lotz is so much more than art. She’s truly talented and enormously skilled; but she is also especially lighthearted, intuitive and profoundly patient. I cherish every lesson, and value every moment.

Cally's decades of artistic experience shone through as she guided and encouraged me throughout my painting journey. I was delighted with my progress and the end results

I attended an art course in Sicily in June 2024 run by Cally Lotz that involved three days still life painting using oils on both canvas board and paper. As a beginner amongst more experienced painters I was suitably apprehensive and slightly nervous. However, I can say that it was a brilliant three days and I enjoyed it so much I intend to take up painting as a hobby and have signed up for more lessons back at home in the UK! Cally is an inspirational and patient teacher who adopts a very light touch when it comes to instruction and works with the student at their pace- matching their individual requirements and style with her involvement in their work. I found myself growing in confidence during the three days and didn’t want each painting session to end. It was great to be immersed in the paintings and materials and have come away feeling a sense if accomplishment and new knowledge of colour mixing, different materials and using both brushes and a palette knife to create different effects and finishes. Highly recommended.

The Art Tour in Provence 2025 was Amazing. The Accomodation was nestled in the French Hills near Seillans. The house and grounds were superb and inviting. Trish who was the chef and hostess extrordinaree provided the most incredible food, and it would be wonderful if she could impart some of her knowledge in future tours( cooking classes) . It was deifinitely 5 star food. The tours to various galleries was fabulous informative & very well organised. The painting classes were run by Cally who is a BRILLANT artist ! Shewas very gentle and encouarging for someone who has never painted before! She taught me some basic techniques and showed how to mix paints and colour matching , shading , how to use brushes and splades ...inspiring me to want to continue to seek out painting classes in Melbourne. I would highly recommend theses Art Tours and will definitely hope to join future Tours.

A bucket list trip became reality for me in September this year, it was definitely a dream come true! There is nothing I can fault, everything was so professionally organised by Cally and Trish, the food, the art, the accommodation, transport and outings to a wonderful selection of museums and galleries. (And wine tasting!) A lovely group of people who all achieved brilliant results under Cally's patient and professional teaching under the olive grove in gorgeous sunlight! This trip was worth every minute, and I've made new art friends around the world, hopefully to meet up with in Provence again!

Cally and Trish's art tour in the Seillans farmhouse was fantastic. The art side of the tour was well planned by Cally letting us see many inspiring art works in the towns and villages within reach of the farmhouse. Trish spoiled us from the moment we arrived, with a never ending supply of delicious food, drink and her signature warm hospitality. Dominique, a local olive grower and our driver, did a wonderful job navigating us into hilltop villages and patiently waiting while while we explored. I especially loved chatting about art and art history with Cally and the others in the back of Dominique's van on our way to and from Seillans. The days spent learning from and painting with Cally were a highlight. Cally is a great artist and skilled teacher, who generously guided us over 3 days. I learned new techniques which I will continue to use back in Australia. Thank you so much Cally & Trish.

What a dream — one of the best experiences I have had. Being with like-minded people with a joy for life and adventure, staying in the south of France with beautiful weather in a charming Séillans home… we had fun and formed beautiful friendships I know will last long after the trip. Together, Trish and Cally created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made everyone feel at home while discovering something new — about art, about Provence, and about ourselves. The camaraderie within the group, the breathtaking locations, and the thoughtful balance of exploration, hands on painting and relaxation made this week one I will treasure forever. We were thoroughly spoiled with every meal prepared by Trish which felt like a celebration of Provence itself: fresh local produce and exquisite presentation — making the dining table not only a place of nourishment but a place of joy, laughter, and connection. Cally brought passion, patience, and genuine encouragement to every plein air painting session. She guided us to see deeper, notice more, and trust our own artistic voice. Her instruction catered beautifully to all levels, her knowledge of art is outstanding and extensive and was of great help when we visited the various galleries. This was such an amazing trip that I truly wished could have gone on longer. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking inspiration, delicious food, fun and a little magic in the French countryside.

What a privilege it was to experience Cally and Trish’s Art Tour! It exceeded all my expectations and was everything I could have hoped for—and more. From the moment Trish and Cally welcomed us into that beautiful Seillans farmhouse, we were treated to the warmest hospitality—wonderful food, fine wine, and an inspiring visual journey through art exhibitions and galleries. Among my many highlights (how to choose?) were the Fondation Maeght, the Picasso Museum, and Matisse’s Chapelle du Rosaire. Oh - and the Bonnard Museum was fabulous! We wandered through charming village markets and enjoyed lunches in lovely local restaurants. But it was Trish’s kitchen that truly stole the show. Every meal she prepared was a masterpiece—beautifully presented, made from fresh local produce, and quite simply the best food I had in France. I still dream about the canapes she served every evening with our pre-dinner drinks. As a complete novice to painting, I was apprehensive, but Cally’s gentle guidance and patience soon gave me confidence. She is an extraordinary artist and teacher, and thanks to her encouragement, I enjoyed the creative process so much that, once home, I went out and bought my own paints and brushes and intend to keep trying. Spending time with a group of like-minded people made the experience even more special. We laughed, shared stories, and formed lasting friendships. I returned home feeling inspired, enriched, and grateful for such a memorable week. I’ll be back!

I would so recommend Cally and Trish's art tour. It was a week in time I will never forget. A memory of beautiful food, friends and art. The galleries were exceptional, and the restaurants were excellent and fun. I especially loved painting in the garden to the sound of birds, the light and the beautiful surroundings. Trish was the very best French chief and Cally an art host to be commended. Can't wait to hear about the next tour

The weeks Art Tour in Provence in September was magical! Cally's skillful artistic guidance, Trish's excellent cooking and hosting and our chauffeur driven visits to wonderful art galleries, museums, markets and wine tastings made a truly amazing week for us visiting artists. All our art equipment from brushes, paints and canvas boards etc were provided and 3 of the days were spent sitting in the sun by the pool and painting. I would thoroughly recommend this Art Tour with Cally and Trish in the pretty hillside town of Seillens in Provence. It really is first class and also a great way to make new, like minded friends from different countries and you will all take masterpiece oil paintings home in your suitcases! Belinda Hood.
